Power Antenna Mast

Post by msouthcott »

I noticed and I can order a mast from the UK. Has anyone been able to find one locally? Or a suitable replacement?

Call your vehicle a Montero Sport and you might be able to source one from North America that way.

Quick question: is the antenna in the fender or on the window pillar? The one I found was for a fender-mount.

It's a fender mount. The Montero Sport is a bit different vehicle a bit smaller. The regular Montero has the same but the complete antenna is quite expensive. Since it is only the nylon runner that is broken it seems like a waste to replace the whole thing.

The nylon on mine has been broken for a while and I haven't bother fixing it yet since I have a manual override switch. As it turns out you can order a kit for like 20 plus shipping on ebay. Im pretty sure its a five minute job but its been a couple years since I looked into it.
