I want to squeeze as much storage space I can into the van so I bought 2 small army surplus back packs and mounted them on the back on the front seats. I am planning on getting the seats recovered and re-foamed and when that goes I'll request webbing be put in place to allow these to be integrated into he seat.
I am very please with these were only 45.00 each! really good for Yukon prices.

Nice job.
What do you do with the strap and buckle on the seat (where the passenger's back rests) ?

I am having the seat recovered and re-foamed and I am going to request the straps be sewn into the seat cover rather than be exposed. This would allow for a more finished look and aloow the pack to be removed to dry out or when they are not needed.

Re: Font seat parasite
Have you thought about just using the headrest poles as top anchors for the pack and loop one strap per side at the base of the seat ?
That way it won't protrude at the front but still have enough to hang weight on.
RichD showed me a cool bed setup where the foot of the entire bed was supported by the two front headrests. That idea can possibly work on each seat supporting weight on the rear. What do you think ?

Thanks for the advise - I'll give it a try.
I do want these "parasites" to ride high on the side, so I'll let you know how they look with them attached to the headrest.
thanks again!

I would like to see that bed idea. Is that posted somewhere? I also like the webbing sewn in idea. It can be behind the front foam so it won't be felt by anyone. I'm sure you could make other accessories to clip right on if needed.
