L400 rims

Post by blevesque@shaw.ca »

Folks,

I'm looking for winter tires for my L400 here in Calgary and am having trouble finding some used rims that will fit. However, I've found some 15 inch 6 bolt 5.5 wheels that are 7 inches wide. Will these work on a set of 235 75 15 and my 96 L400? I've read all the threads with interest, and hold jesse's opinion as the most informed when it comes to wheel sizing and just about anything else Deilca, but I haven't come across any reference to wheel width. Thoughts?

15x7 inches wide is stock

you can get away with as narrow as 6 to as wide as 8

108mm hub centre (most toyota/nissan's are 106mm - too small and most chevy's/aftermarket are 108-112mm which is large enough).

6x5.5 bolt pattern (toyota/nissan/chevy/mitsubishi)

TYVM Jesse. They're 108mm so should fit just fine. I appreciate the feedback. Any thoughts on running 215 75 15 or 225 75 15 versus the standard 235 75 15?

most situations for on road winter tires narrow is better... For the Delica I make sure the load rating is high enough with good strong sidewalls...
