Hi all,
Im just in the process of wiring the daytime running lamps in my new to me 1996 L400. I've wired several other vehicles in the past using any number of methods from the Grote universal module to a simple fused jumper wire in the steering column.
I prefer the simpler and cleaner installations that are confined within the steering column.
Has anyone successfully installed drl's in the steering column like this, and if so, what wires did you use?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Don't touch the combo switch (steering column). You're asking for electrical trouble down the road.
I posted a DRL DIY somewhere here. search for it. it shows you what wire to splice into under the fuse box in the engine bay so you don't have to go through the firewall.
