The Unusual Freebee Game.

Post by tomanique »

Installing my stereo on the weekend I had one of the dash plates off and found something interesting left behind(or lost) by the previous owner. I got to thinking it might be funny to hear what other people have found in their Deli's once they've given them a good once-over. Let see who found the most unsual items. I'll go first:

Some wonderful glow in the dark lures. The grassminnow variety, stinky and slimy. Apparently well worth the 472Yen

Funny how I thought I was the only guy who found something!!! No where near as interesting as the fishing tackle and contrabands, but I took out the glove box while trying to figure out why my windshield wiper fluid isn't getting to where it needs to be - and found a Japanese road map - looked to be about as old as the car. Not a single English word on it (go figure) - intend to bring to my Japanese associate to maybe find out where my car was originally from...hmmm.

By the way...Grassminnow was probably intended to be Glassminnow - the translation and copy proofing industry in Japan is still in it's infancy...and I have been doing business there for over 14 years and the errors still boggle my mind. Check out http://www.engrish.com for a sampling of what I'm talking about. On the other hand, ever wonder what that girls tattoo really says? You know, the Japanese one that she thinks says something deep and meaningful - maybe it's not so....again, check out http://www.engrish.com just for fun.

Ah yeah, Mitch those pills must have come from Japan; yeah that's it.... 8-)

That white one was loaded with food packages and food related items, did keep the unopened 7-11 chopsticks though. Best find was a folding picnic table under the rear seat of mine. Wasn't a list of 'finds' in another post?
