replacing busbar

I have a 94 Paj and was looking to replace my busbar with some heavy gauge wires and run a separete lead to each glow plug as some have done in here and was wondering if anyone has a picture of how they did this, just want to figure out how to secure the wires so they are not sitting on the engine and wont get too hot.

Best I can do without taking out intercooler (not happenning )
L400, but same idea.

I just followed the same routing as the original wire:
- 10 gauge wire (crappy tire)
- cut lengths, give yourself 4-6" extra just to be sure
- terminate one end on each wire and attach it them to glow plugs (be gentle from here so you do not rip off a post)
- my old termination on bus bar was between # 1 and #2, so I did the same, run the back three towards the front and #1 to the rear
- start taping them all together, 2, 3, and 4
- add in # 1 and tape up the rest of the wire bundle
- do all your routing and tie in place before you terminate the other ends
- once you are happy with the routing and tape job, start cutting and terminating the ends that will hook up to the relay.
- the 10 gauge wire is stiff enough to hold shape and position (at least the cheaper hook-up wire, more threads will be too flexible), especially when taped together, add any extra clamps / zip that you want from there

If you have some extra colour wire, it is very handy to have each glowplug a different colour. If that is not possible use a black felt pen to label the end of each wire with the glow plug number. That way when you want to check for a bad glowplug, disconnect the wire at the junction and measure the resistance. If you have a dead plug you will now immediately then which glowplug without having to trace the wires once they have all been taped together. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the picture that helps alot, and your L400 looks great if i was in the market i would love to have it! like the black and graphics on it good luck selling it
