L400 grease points for doors

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

L400 grease points for doors

Post by joedelica »

Anyone have an idea of where the grease points would be for the doors?
Since the weather has been cold, my passenger door almost requires two hands to close it!

Thanks,

Joe

I use SAE 20 weight oil on all the hinge points on our L400. It's been good so far though the winter in Whistler cold. My sister is tiny at 5'1 and has no problems with the big doors sticking.

If you have old grease or gunk, use mineral spirits to clean off the stuff and then apply liberally a good weight oil or lubricating grease (marine blue stuff is good too).

Hit every hinge/pivot point.

:-D I'll bite, I use lithium ion lubricant on all sliders and hinges after cleaning them with simple green. And all while working 4 day jobs. 8-)

Thanks Nxski,

Do I have to remove the two screws on the inside door edge where the arm enters the door, or remove the entire door panel to grease?

If you have a 'creeping' lubricant you shouldn't have to remove anything. Unless you need to clean them!? Mine all worked perfectly after a simple lube. The passenger door hinge has dog hair in it so that will need to be taken apart at some point (what I mean by needing a clean).
