New Sub-Forum: "Mitsubishi Vanwagon".
Just to let everyone know that we have created a new sub-forum for the classic "Mitsubishi Vanwagon", as found in the States. In the meantime, this new sub-forum can be found in Delica Canada Technical under "Pajero, Strada, Mitsubishi Vanwagon". Eventually all threads regarding the Vanwagon will be moved to this new location, as we come across them.

Re: New Sub-Forum: "Mitsubishi Vanwagon".
Not sure a VanWagon could be called a "JDM" as it was a North American market vehicle sold in the United States. "JDM" properly means Japanese Domestic Market and so should not apply. Also, to have a sub-forum under the heading of "Other Mitsubishi JDMs/Mitsubishi VanWagon" is a bit repetitive.
Better yet, get rid of the main heading and just have three sub-forums: Pajero, Strada, VanWagon.

Since you're getting into North American Mitsu's, can you make a sub forum for Montero and Raider (neither are JDM's like the vanwagon) as they are a plenty up here in Canada. Trailtalk on the wire Mitsu section is slow so many of them would flock here.
It will generate more traffic for you and Mark = win win.

I think that having the VanWagon's to their own section is like tossing out the step-children. Keep them here.

As there has been an interest from some American drivers with the Vanwagon that has some things in common with the L300 Delica, the motion was carried at the last Quarterly Review Board to make a sub-forum that is more likely to turn up on search engines for other American enthusiasts unfamiliar with the term "L300". Also, for archiving purposes, easier to locate on site.
Good point Mararmeisto. I will act on that presently. (*Done).
Regarding the step-children comment: We will keep them together with the other orphans and miscreants so they are not lonely... grins.
Falco.
P.S.: Dfnder ~ further to the point ~ it is partly because there are a number of differences between the Vanwagon and the Starwagon that we decided to group them in their own forum. In some respects the Starwagon has more in common with the Paj than the Vanwagon, such as the drive train. Any post for the Vanwagon will still turn up in VAT for all to see. FC

Three sub-forums, each representing their own vehicle; not one for the three!

Re: New Sub-Forum: "Mitsubishi Vanwagon".
There are three sub-forums, however they are located at the bottom of the page. This has happened before where the forum containing the sub-forums decides to exhibit a cross section of posts from all three. I will fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.mararmeisto wrote:Three sub-forums, each representing their own vehicle; not one for the three!

NOW it's displaying correctly. Thank you for our own "little sandboxes", as it were.

Grins.... let me know if you find anything else ~ when I finished putting it all back together I still had a few nuts & bolts left over.

There's a lot of Pajero owners here and even more Montero owners in the US.jfarsang wrote:sub forum for Montero and Raider
Mitsubishi L300 Delica JDM = NA similar Mitsubishi Vanwagon
Mitsubishi Pajero JDM = NA Mitsubishi Montero
There are engine and trim differences just like with the Vanwagon and Delica. This will help out L400 Spacegear owners that have the 4/6 cylinder gas model L400's since the USA Montero's came with these engines. The experience is worth the additional membership and sub forum.
We have a Pajero sub forum. It makes sense to have a Montero sub forum as well.
Delica forum - check
USA Vanwagon forum - check
Pajero forum - check
USA Montero forum - not yet
Can you add that sub forum Paul? If so, I will spread the word and delica.ca will get an influx of new members from down south.

Re: New Sub-Forum: "Mitsubishi Vanwagon".
I've let Phil and Mark know that delica.ca has a USA Mitsu vanwagon sub forum. A Mitsu Montero sub forum along side to match up with the JDM Pajero's would be utilized if you two put one up.
Will you be adding a Montero section ?
