Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone is aware of the pin outs for the under seat amp? My Royal has had the stock stereo removed before me and they cut all three plugs to the amp (which are now missing). I have no way of knowing what wires connected where?
If anyone has a pin out diagram that would assist greately. I at least would like to know what is +12v, gnd, speaker pre-amp inputs and speaker outputs.
many thanks,
Super/Royal Exceed under seat amp wiring pin outs

I had the stock stereo removed and replaced with one that (like all new ones) has a built in amp. Turns out my old amp was still screwed in place, but was not being used for anything. I disconnected all the wires and tossed it out.
My guess is that yours is not really wired in anywhere either. I can't know that for certain, but that is how mine is.

Yep, your correct. Mine is curently only useful as a doorstop. I want to reconnect it again. If I had the pin outs I could connect it to an aftermarket CD player. Unfortunately with all the plugs cut off it makes the job impossible without some idea of what wire went where.

To be honest, I don't know if I would bother. I got a Chinese 7" DVD/MP3/Bluetooth/GPS head unit installed. I can hook it up directly to an ipod or use bluetooth or an Mp3 DVD. CD's contain less music for their size and can skip, whereas the buffering of an MP3 makes it unskippable offroad.
CD's are going the way of the tapedeck IMO. Granted, if you prefer CDs, then you might want to go that route, but my head unit was only $300 and puts out more watts than the old under seat amplifier ever did.

Spend the money, buy something else.
By the time you research it, re-plug it, and then get special adaptors for the stereo to plug into those plugs, you could discover that some of the capacitors inside the amp are now leaky, there is a dead IC, and that it's only a 40W/side amp anyways.

Jay and I spent some time figuring the pin out on my double din JDM deck leading to an amp and separate CD/DVD player under the seats. Turns out one of the pin outs is linked to the door chime / interior lights. A real PIA to decipher.
I bought an $80 future shop deck that's light years better than the JDM deck it replaced. Cost has come down significantly over the years.
