New Member with start a starter that will not crank
Can anyone tell me off hand the starting system logic?

Seriously; are you getting voltage to the starter ("click" when you turn they key) or nothing at all?
As far as logic goes, you need to be in P or N, as per other auto trannies (assuming you have an auto).
