Sony Mobile TV Diversity unit???

Anybody know what this is??

I found it under the the Front passenger seat tucked under the carpet.
For what it's worth, my van was briefly used as a bush ambulance. I have a feeling it has something to do with that.
I haven't taken the time to trace the wires yet but it looks like two of them go towards the centre console.

Probaly a tv tuner so you can get three fuzzy channels.

Looks like the TV Antennae unit I had in my L400 when it arrived in Canada...it also had a dash mounted TV, a huge 1st generation GPS system that used CDs and a control wand of some kind, assumed it was a control for the TV. None of my stiff worked so it got yanked in short order and donated to the Staples Electronics Recycle program.

Its not a factory part so you can probably tear it out....mind what you cut as far as wires are concerned.....your seatbelt wires might be tangled in a wire-nest like mine were.

My 4 round PIN plugs ran to individual external antennaes located on the exterior glass. Thats what the stamp ANT is for.

Yeah, Think i'm going to yank it this week. Not that there's room for anything else under the seat...
I didn't get the old school GPS or TV in the dash, Just a gaping hole that I have been slowly filling with a stereo and gauges.
