Re: Genuine Mitsubishi Key Blank
Ask for a key blank, sounds like they think you want a replacement for a "lost" key.
Re: Genuine Mitsubishi Key Blank
I dont think they will be able to cut you a key by vin #. I doubt that info will be available to them. I suspect even if you had the key code they would not be able to find the tumbler #'s and if they could find the tumbler #'s, I doubt it would work because the locks are probably a bit on the worn out side.
Call Mitsubishi, say I want to order a MB113096. 2 weeks later you get a brand new key with no teeth on it. Take that toothless wonder to a locksmith with your old key, he will copy the teeth from your old key onto the toothless one.
If you just go in there and say "I want a key blank for my Delica" they will look at you funny and say "lets try and match it up" and after they look at your key they will say "oh, no, we have nothing like that". Order it by part # and everyone will be happy.

Re: Genuine Mitsubishi Key Blank
You might have to get the key cut by the dealership, I brought mine to Home Despot and they refused to cut the key, said that it was a $2500 fine to cut an OEM key. ( I don't see what the difference between cutting the OEM key and the blanks they keep)
Re: Genuine Mitsubishi Key Blank
I just got my key copied at Canadian Tire - no nice rubber or Mitsubishi on it, but I have a new key that works fine. All for the price of $1.99 + tax.
