Refrigerant type for '96 L 400?

Can anyone tell me what type of juice I need to recharge a stock '96 L 400 A/C?

Its R134A, I believe i did 32 oz in mine. I have front and rear ac. Check my previous thread (somewhere in here) on the weight. Also i believe the manual says 960grams

Make sure it is R134a and NOT something else. A good A/C shop said in Canada they don't sell R134a. I got mine from O'Reilly.

Are you thinking of R12? R12 was the original refrigerant prior to HFCR134A and now the standard is R134, some people use RED TEK or super cool or other aftermarket refrigerants but they come with pros and cons to a factory system

I used red tek 134a to recharge/convert my 85 mustang gt...still in there as far as I know and that was 1999 when I was selling red tek(rep did my car as a demo to stop people from paying dealers thousands to retro fit from r12)

Isn't the rear AC part of the same system?

Also, finding the right type of refrigerant is as easy as taking a day trip across the border to a US Walmart.

94' and on was mandatory r134a, most switched way before that though...
