So I was driving along today in my 94' L300 on a beautiful -26 Saskatchewan day. AS I was stopped at a redlight, with my surprise the battery light came on, the A/T TEMP light came on, and the low fluid light came on. The van continued to run normally, but I did notice a burning smell. No clue whats going on? ANy suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Re: Strange One for you guys
Multiple dash lights coming on most likely indicates a dead alternator.

Re: Strange One for you guys
Multiple lights = alternator. Burning smell might mean loose belt. Tighten your alternator belt.

Re: Strange One for you guys
I think I had multiple lights come on once after driving thru very fine snow. Once the alternator dried out everything was fine.
That alternator is in a ridiculous spot.

Re: Strange One for you guys
so I removed the Alternator and had it rebuilt, I would like to install it this weekend. I noticed my belts need changing. Does anyone have a cross over part #, so I can save the time from ordering one in? We just got a huge dump of snow and cant wait to hit the roads. :)

If you're putting it in by yourself, be very careful not to drop it.
I damn near knocked my teeth out!
