I have had some trouble with my steering wheel (horn not working). I am looking for the plastic cowling that surrounds the steering column, as well as the complete steering wheel with horn and all wiring, etc... Thanks so much!

Re: Steering Wheel?
Damn, I just took mine to the dump! Are you looking for the original or would you consider aftermarket? I much prefer my aftermarket wheel to the original.

Re: Steering Wheel?
I have a complete original Steering wheel if you want it. I replaced mine with a real nice Chinese MOMO wheel in a nice Italian box.

Re: Steering Wheel?
I really want to replace my wheel this summer. How did you figure out which adapter to use? I have a L400 series 1 and can't find anything definitive for it.
Thanks

Re: Steering Wheel?
The adapter depends on the type of wheel. Grant wheels use a different adapter than most other brand name wheels. The Grant adapter Part No. 3390. The Momo or other wheels use a 6 bolt adapter. An early 90's Montero will work. In fact from what I've seen most if not all Mitsubishi's use the same adapter. Ebay has lots to chose from.

Re: Steering Wheel?
There are also 2 bolt hole pcds for 6 bolt, at least 2, there might be another but 2 common ones, 70 and 73mm from memory. Generally adapters are doubled drilled for those 2. Ah yes there is also a much bigger old Mountney standard at around 100mm, but you are unlikely to see those over there.

Re: Steering Wheel?
lrp374, how much was the momo steering wheel? Did you need an adapter?

Re: Steering Wheel?
I think I paid about $60 for the wheel and about $15 for shipping on Ebay. I'm not sure if it is still available I'll try to find a record of the purchase. The adapter I used was http://www.ebay.ca/itm/191301353574?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT again form Ebay. It is pretty cheap but seems to work okay. My old wheel is still around if you want it.
