Hi everyone,
I've been lurking here for some time but haven't needed to make an account until now...Unfortunately it's all bad news from me.
A couple days ago I was driving away from Japanoid in New West and was in a minor crash, was clipped by the back end of a semi trailer when beginning a right turn.
My baby is not in good shape! Where to begin...The front left door is bent badly and is far from closing, the windshield is cracked thorughout, the headlight and side-mirror and gone. The front right window also won't close entirely because the door is dented where I hit a utility pole.
The van is otherwise is good shape. New muffler, new engine (replaced by previous owner 3 years ago or so), and runs beautifully. It totally breaks my heart but I'm starting to accept my best bet is to try to sell it to a shop or something as is. I'm starting up school again on Monday and taking 8 courses means I have virtually no free time, let alone spare money.
It's a '90 L300 I bought in Sydney in August. Maybe on of you fine friendly folks need it for parts or know someone who does? I know it's worth something like $6k unsmashed but don't know what its value may be now.
I am open to some kind of ad-hoc repair that would leave me with an unusable door and an ugly but drivable/street legal van.
Any advice for this heartbroken Delica owner would be massively appreciated <3

You sound really stuck. A prts van isn't worth much unless you are willing to spend the time and cash to part it out. Doesn't sound like it needs much, but again you need cash to replace at minimum the door, windscreen and headlight, all available from a wrecker. Probably less than $500 and a day's work. Better than giving it away.
My new novel A Dark and Promised Land has just been released by Dundurn Press. "On the eve of war he is compelled to reclaim her love, setting himself against his people amid a conflict that will form a nation." http://www.darkpromisedland.com/
