L300 Corner Light (With signal light)

Post by Asintha »

Hi Friends,

This is regarding my Delica front corner lights (Under the corner panel with signal light) that light contains two bulbs one for
signal and other one i don't have a proper idea. what is the purpose of that bulb is it should be turn on when we switch on the parking or it should be turn on with the signal light? (If i put right signal light meantime the other bulb should turn On to get that area lighter.)

I have that doubt... Because now its turn on when i switch on the parking signal. and its get heat so much
so what i want to ask is, it should be tun On with signal light or it should be turn with the parking like i have already. If so i have to reduce the bulb watt.

Need your assistance ASAP..

Thanks and Regards

It's part of the signal.
It's designed to catch the attention of the driver adjacent to your turn. It also lights the lane you are signalling to pull into which will possibly catch the attention of the driver already in that lane but behind you.

You could change the bulb to LED if you want to save power use and have a cooler bulb.

HI,

Yes True, I can change the bulb, but why originally come with that kind of lighter bulb, i agree with Falco Columbarius, but i am afraid that it will affect the plastic cover (Signal Light cover). I think Best thing is change the bulb.

Thanks and Regards

Asintha, I believe the access is from behind, in which case it's three screws and the piece slides out, then check the existing bulb for wattage or better still, take the bulb into the auto supply company and say "I'd like one of these, please". How are things in Sri Lanka?

Hi Friend Falco,

Thanks for the respond, Yes i checked the bulb, its little big but at night its give better view from my right and left side. but the thing is the signal light getting heat even difficult to touch it. that's why i though to replace bulb most probably it could be a LED.

Appreciate about your advice.. Thanks again
Take Care
