Engine Oil

Post by philmeup1 »

Hey there folks,

I'm about to perform an oil change on my '93 Delica Super Exceed. I've been trying to research what's best for my van, and I'm not sure what I put in it last time. I also know this is an ambiguous question, so I'm just gonna put this out there and if anyone has an opinion, it's greatly appreciated.....

I read that 15w 40 semi synthetic oil is good. It also suggest the capacity to be 4.9 Litres. I put synthetic oil in it last time so it would be easier to start when it's -35 for most of the winter...

Any advice is welcome. Unfortunately, winter is just about here and I'm already done!!

Cheers, Phil

I'm currently using Total Quartz full synth, 5w40. Six point five litres is what goes into the motor, this capacity includes the new filter.

Falco.

Thanks Falco. That seems to be the common thread 5w 40 synthetic fit winter temps. I didn't know about it being 6.5 litres though. Glad I do now.

Cheers, Phil
