Every time I camped I wanted one. Now nobody knows when I get up to pee at night. LOL
So I built one...

Just follow the pictures, remove the strap closure and pop off the tailgate cover. Remove the plastic film that covers the door frame. The 6 plastic 2 pce. closers can't be reused. Just order new ones, see the mitsu number. The other plastic closers are okay but the main ones are usually hooped. I used stainless cable (attached to the top of the door rod) and a small pulley bolted to the frame then drilled a few extra holes for a straight run and left the handle hidden inside the little door for changing your taillight bulbs. The cable is joined with downrigger copper tubes and the handle is tubing from my air bag lines.
An extra picture. Replace the plastic, the new clips , pop the plastic cover back on and screw on the strap handle. Presto and now the door can be opened from the inside.
Enjoy
