Instrument Cluster Gremlins

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Instrument Cluster Gremlins

Hello All

I was having intermittent instrument cluster gremlins. Tachometer, high beam light, seat belt light, and fuel gauge would work intermittently. I turned to Google and found this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkw_52rFHU8. Once you have the instrument cluster out, disconnect the battery and find yourself some suitable containers and dunk them in. You can even skip the scrubbing part. This worked very well to clean twenty years of corrosion and oxidization off of the pins. Nice and shinny now!!! I also had to go one step further and de-pin some connector pins with a flat blade jeweler's screwdriver and gently close them with some pliers.

All is well now
