1992 L300 Starwagon turbo diesel ground clearance?

Post by EllyStu »

Sorry if I missed finding this info. If it's here, I'd appreciate being directed to the proper specs page.

What I can't find is the ground clearance figure. Unfortunately I may have to let go of my beloved wagon and either replace it or  get some other type of vehicle, pardon my language. I have learned that most SUVs have 8" ground clearance while cars have a frightening 5 or 6" only! It's been so long since I've driven just a car that I'm nervous about doing so, lol. I feel like I can go anywhere in Mitsi and love that!

Anyway, what actual clearance do the specs say that my Mitsi has? Can anyone help? Thanks a lot!

whose Mitsi finally needs more work than she can handle :-(

I think those dimensions are for the 2wd version. Here's the 4WD:

215mm to the lowest point on the rear differential. Significantly higher elsewhere- but I've never measured. If it goes "crunch" I've run out of clearance ;-)
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
