Hi everyone, im learning how to import a car from japan since id like to get a delica. Since im in quebec, it will need to be 1992 or older ( we cant license rhd car if they are not at least 25 years old).
Im looking for a clean, low milleage unit with the factory bull bar. Id like to get a roof rack also. I dont care paying more for that. I learn over the years that you better pay more at the begining, you will save a lot over the time after...
And the import freight are the same for a clean ride than a rust bucket...

The reason why i want a delica is that i now have a family ( 2 little girl). And i hate driving boring car like the modern suv or a standard minivan...
The delica, from the look, seams to be a fun ride with its diesel engine...am i right?

Is there any member from quebec?
I would love to get a delica ride from a member before the import process, to make sure i will love driving it, but it look i will have a hard time to find one near where i live (drummondville).

Hey Sylquebec, good to have an expected future L300 overhere ! We lost "lost2" that wrecked his camperized L300 this winter so you can compensate in bringing a new L300 in Quebec :-) There was an L300 for sale close to Montreal last year but it may happen only once in 10 years so do not wait for it to show on Kijiji just like in BC...I estimate we are about less than 10 L300 owners in Quebec (5 that I am aware of) :? Also, the most beutifull L300 overhere is in Drunmondville (Fleury), right besides you

Remember, they are slow on every hill, headwinds, (c'est une vache sur la route), and otherwhise, you drive at the indicated speed limits :o but for me it ok and get use to it rapidly ! If you want more power an L400 maybe another options ? A friend of me (strada92) as one advertized on kijiji Quebec city right now 8-) (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-autos-camions/vi ... nFlag=true)

If you can wait, you can get in touch with Bonsai Rides in Ontario: Craig may help you importing a L300 after auction. If not, many car dealers in BC but be aware, since americans can buy 25YO Delicas, the price of these have went up :-( Once in a while, you have a very clean and well maintained L300 at a lower price from private owners !

They all (almost all) have the Bull Bar: you can get a roof rack for sale, if it is not on it, once in a while 8-) Look for rust free Van ! and if you plan to use it in winter time, have it rust proof every year..... :-( Mine and Fleury's Delica are sleeping during salty Quebec winters... :-( Finally, after about 2 days, RHD is the same as driving our LHD 8-)

Keep in touch !

Im looking to import my own l300 from japan. So i can shop from a lot more car at a cheaper price. I dont care to deal with the imports stuff if i can save a few grand $$$.
