Hey Guys!
I have decided to gut my van and get it ready for a long term live-in layout for extended trips. Last year I made a custom box and bed platform that allows you to retain the existing seats in your van while having lots of storage and a great retracting bed platform.
I figure I have about $300 in wood, $200 in drawer hardware and about $50-$100 in other items not including any labour to actually build it. I also will include a $180 Folding mattress that is almost new.
I am not trying to make a profit, I would just like to recoup my money so I can spend it on the next venture.
I am willing to part with this camping box for $600. I also have full documentation in a step by step instructional format that I can give to anyone who wants to build one themselves and has the space to do so (By Donation? everything helps ;) PM me if you want)
Below are some pictures and a video of how the retracting bed mechanism works.
Pictures are from varius stages of completion, I can take more pictures soon.
