Front Heater
Front Heater
Can Anyone help me out my front heater quit on me a couple of days ago, checked out all the fuses there all good. It seems to just be the fan thats not operating, anyone know where to find the fan motor i'm pretty sure thats the issue but now i have to find it, a point in the right direction would be much appreciated. Tks.

Re: Front Heater
Hi Jon. My front heater (fan) sometimes stops working. I checked all of the connections and couldn't find what was wrong...that is to say all of the connections were made and conductive. I have found that giving the fan area a good hard tap frees up the fan and the fan starts up again. Not a fix but I bet if you give the fan unit a hard tap where the wires come in it will start.
Maybe helpful but by no means a fix.

Re: Front Heater
I had a Bronco 2 and the heater fan would stop working every now and then and just like Mark said a little whack would get it going again. What I found the problem to be was it had some dust in in that must have been getting between the brushes and armature. I blew it our with my compressor and never had any more problems with it.
I realize that Bronco 2's are not made by Mitsubishi, but it may be the same issue and it's a very inexpensive repair.

Hey thanks for the input and yeah giving the fan a kick got it going, think i'm still going to take it apart and clean it all up, maybee grab a new motor it seems pretty weak.
