Shop manual?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Shop manual?

Post by misterroboto »

My local mechanic is wondering if there is an English version of a shop manual available? Anywhere to buy it on line so that I can get access to it quickly?

I just downloaded a pdf file version from this forum last night...it's in here somewhere...can't recall where, but if you use the search feature you should be able to find it...sorry not to help more, but at least you now know it's here...you just have to find it...have fun! ;)

How YOU gonna spend your Friday night? ;)

Cheers!

p.s. If I find it in my nightly Delica.ca surfing/obsessing, I'll post it.

oops...forgot to offer...if you PM me your email and I find my way back online later I could email the PDF to you. No promises I'll make it back tonight though. It is after all...Friday night.

So, I guess this shows how I spend a Friday night...

I checked out these links - one thing I don't get: the '87-94 technical data' talks about a 2.0l and a 2.4l - no 2.5l - and spark plugs. Am I missing something? Is this supposed to be for Delicas?

The UK Delica forum, through their shop, sell English language versions of the owner's manual (translated and adapted from the original Japanese by the New Zealand Delica club), as well as the Russek manual (equivalent to the Haynes manuals we see here).

I purchased both for just under $100, and they arrived within a couple of days. So I ended up with the manuals a month or two before I even had my Delica.

Well worth having in the glove compartment. If you break down somewhere, you won't necessarily have access to a computer and this forum :-(

Thanks Ruminante,
I purchased both manuals that you suggested, cost me about $82 CAN plus some shipping. I agree it will be well worth having. Hopefully the downloads I gave to the shop will be suffice for them to be able to rectify my problem.

Thanks Delicanagan!
I used your links to download some material that I took over to the mechanic. Hopefully it is enough to give them a general understanding of everything. Thanks again for spending some of your Friday night doing some leg work for me!

I have to say the Russek manual annoys me. It is a mediocre quality scan of something. Kinda hard to read. But it has lots of technical info. So I'm still happy I bought it.

All I need is to be broken down once somewhere, and be able to say to the mechanic, "the specs for xxx are 134.568 according to the Russek manual" and it will be worth its weight in gold.

The hardcopies referred to above, do they have reasonable wiring diagrams? The wiring diagram that is available for download seems not only almost unreadable due to it format and layout, it doesn't appear to be relevant to the vehicles we mostly have here?

Like, wow man... this is like, totally excellent! I have been looking all over the internet for drawings like these ~ and with easy to understand directions.... I am really pleased to see that the 4D56 employs sleeves ~ this engine should last forever!

Yes, Falco,
this engine last longer if you maintain it. we used this kind of engine back home in the phils. like i say before toyota engine backhome dont last as its overheat, this one 4D56 is very strong as the cooling system works really good.
just do regular maintenance to this delica & it last longer .
