Leisure Battery wiring, how to

Post by electrik_jester »

Groovy how-to that I may have to implement.

Not specifically for deli but definitely applicable.
Wondering if it is worth splitting my existing two battery system. Opinions?

Dude the other guys method of connecting two batteries will work, but i wouldn't do it that way.

Too many disadvantages ,such as not being able to connect the batteries together to start the motor when the starting battery dies. The way i would do it is use a continuous duty solenoid to join the two batteries together and have the solenoid connected to the key switch so when the engine is running the two batteries are both charging and when the key is off the batteries are isolated. You could get extra fancy by adding in a on-off-on switch for overriding the ignition switch when in camping mode.

Anyways if you any more questions just p.m. me.
Jay.
