hi there just purchased a 92 super exceed (pics to follow) and are wondering about the kareoke stereo .is it in synk with the audio system up front or works independant from it.the unit lights up when the headlights are on but i cant seem to get it to power up by it self. any help would be great help.

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum! 
Unfortunately the audiostage unit in the back only works with the factory head unit. It has a connector cable with a unique plug. I suppose an electronics wiz could figure the pin-outs and get it to work, but that's not me. Some have replaced that unit with plugs attached to a power inverter.
