New, thinking about, had a few questions.

Post by steig »

Hello

I just recently came across Delicas on the net and was interested right a way. I have three kids and enjoy exploring the back trails around where I live in northern Alberta. I have a few questions I couldnt seem to find the anwsers to. 1) What kind of tow allowance do they have? 2) I dont see many posts on heavy modifications like jeep users so I assume they are fairly hardy the way they come? I just do mild trail rides a couple times a year nothing to major. 3) With them being imports from Japan are parts expensive or are alot of them somewhat standard available locally? 4) By any chance is there anyone half ways close to me with one (I live in Grande Prairie AB) all Ive seen is pictures on the net and wouldnt mind see one to get a better idea of size not trying to impose, just like to see outside and peek in window if thats not to much to ask. 5) Last of all for now, just to comfirm the second shifter in the pics are for the transfer case does it have a 4Hi and 4Lo and any one know the ratio of the 4Lo?

Thank you for your time

The Delica transfer case has three settings, 2H, 4H and 4L, with the usual meanings. As long as the front hubs are locked, you can shift on the fly between 2H and 4H, but must stop and shift the transmission in to neutral for 4L.

No idea on the gear ratios. But 4L is very low.

Please read postings here for answers to your other questions.
