I am looking into an Elsbett single tank conversion kit. Is there anyone with experience about the German made and recommended SVO/WVO conversion? A kit is available for Delica's.
All posts, of course, are welcome

I have one of their kits in a box at the moment. I will be installing it in a week or 2, I love this system because of the versatility and the fact that I don't need another tank unless I want to add more range at some point.mishkadog wrote:Greetings and Salutations

Not sure who it was (posted on a veg forum)I've just received my Elsbett single tnak conversion from Germany for my Mitsubishi Delica L400. My local friendly mechanic is going to fit it for me in the next couple of weeks, and I am going to be present to help / get in the way / take photos as the Delica forum I'm also a member of are interested too, so I'll post them here or a link to my write up on the delica forum.
Essentially the kit consists of larger diameter fuel lines, and additional fuel filter and an electrical preheater for that. This is fitted in parallel to the existing filter, so that if you decide to return to diesel for any extended length of time, you can switch back to he original - it also leaves an emergency spare in pleace.
It then has a coolant heated preheater / heat exchanger thing for once the engine is up to temp aand the electrical one is off (they supply the temp switch for that). Finaaly they supply higher spec glowplugs new injectors and a really good instruction manual.
I don't know of anyone fitting one to a delica as yet, though people must have as they supply the kit as car specific. I have read only very good things about people using Elsbett kits on pajeros / shoguns htough, which are the same engine.
By the way, have you read "The Edge of Veg" as advertised on here? It is excellent and covers every possible angle.
the delica kit that I got came with an electric fuel pump as well to help push the veg up to the IP.jfarsang wrote:Not sure who it was (posted on a veg forum)I've just received my Elsbett single tnak conversion from Germany for my Mitsubishi Delica L400.
