intermittent gas gauge & temp guage failure

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

intermittent gas gauge & temp guage failure

Post by Gladstoner »

I'm having a mildly annoying intermittent problem with my gas gauge and temperture gauge. Sometimes, when i start-up the vehicle, they simply won't work. Its as if a fuse is burnt out. But then the next time I start-up everything is fine. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind getting it sorted so that they work all the time. Any suggestions or people out there with a similar experience?

Thanks

I would suggest two things: change the fuse for another (don't just pull it out and look at it); pull the dash apart and check the connections on the back of the gauge console.

Considering it's two indications from two separate systems, you've got to look at something common: power and connections. These are pretty simple vehicles (not a lot of 'puter parts), so it's not like the CPU got toasty.
