There is a vehicle in auction I may bid on but it is a high roof with no crystal lites. I had been hoping for a Deli with them to add some light inside the van during the day but I'm kinda waffling :)
I had a look at the TardisDeli at the meet on Friday but I didn't study the interior roof enough and compare. What can I say I was overwhelmed being so close to all those shinny vehicles . I would like to take another look at one to make up my mind as I'm borderline on whether to bid on this vehicle - seeing a highroof without will help. Anyone in the Vancouver area Wednesday that has one incase Mardy doesn't?
Unfortunately ours is still in the shop getting tranny work done (high roof with crystalite).
However, if you are simply looking for light / darkness levels you can inspect a deli with crystalite roof, and just shut the shades. Besides, if the sun is shining bright and it's warm (i.e. summer time) you probably don't want them open to let the light in anyhow, as it would get to hot. But I love having them open when it's raining! It really brightens up the interior and the rain on the crystalites has a relaxing look and sound.
Hey dfnder! How are you? It was pleasant meeting you at the meet.
The "Miss Lil' Bitchi is a "P25" or "Aero-Roof" (employing brick technology) ~ also known as a "Low Roof". She has no sky lights and the CLR does not ever grace the P25. I wanted a low roof for reasons of getting into underground car parks and fitting under those lower branches. With no sky light I have less to worry about regarding leaks in the roof ~ however I know people with P35s with CLRs that don't have leaks ~ so I guess it depends on the vehicle you choose. I bought mine here so I could walk around the vehicle and see for myself. My wagon also has solar heating technology ~ i.e.; she is painted black ~ great in the Winter, thank heavens for A/C and windows in the Summer! The head room in the cockpit is pretty much the same in both models and when I am driving the head room in the cabin is inconsequential. For fellows like Jay whom is a big lad, the high roof is a good thing when in the cabin.... Pluses and minuses in all models. Good luck in finding the one that is just right for you... smiles.

Thanks, Peter
Peter, I'm heading up to Whistler this weekend on Friday.
Shoot me a PM and I'll drive by.
On a side note, you mention you're bidding in an auction. Just curious why you'd bid on an auction vehicle instead of buying one already here ?
Well it happens that the fellow I coached hockey with last year lived in Japan for a while playing pro hockey. I told him I was thinking of getting a delica and it turns out a good friend of his is exporting vehicles from Japan. I have a contact whom I have confidence in and who will look out for me, also I can be a tight wad so even if I'm only thinking I'll save money it is appealing lol.
So far I am very happy with the whole proccess, just waiting for the right vehicle that passes their inspection standards. I will be at work Friday night so I will be in Vancouver. Thanks for the offer :)
DocSavage - I see how you get your name lol, I think you should put up a warning before you show further carnage of a Delica!
