I'd like an alarm/remote start/immobilaizer/turbo-timer.
Has anyone any recommendations? Can these things be found in a single unit?

Can you give the details on what models they are ?chrisbouchard wrote:i am looking at a compustar system. alarm, door locker, auto starter, immoblizer and turbo timer installed for 350. pretty bangin' deal if you ask me. Went to Andres Audiotronics, a chain up here in the brokanagan!
Door locker, auto starter, immobilizer and turbo timer are great to have.

With alarms..

Every person I've ever asked about alarms hates them with a passion (sirens, loud noises).
The only alarm I can see that is actually has some functionality is a quiet/remote alarm indicator and an immobilizer.
The one that lets you know on your keychain unit that someone is breaking into your vehicle.
Other than that, noisy alarms really piss people off and don't do anything to ward off people trying to break in.

Re: Alarm-remote start
I have an alarm, it's a 2-way unit that notifies my keychain, I have the siren disabled right now, I'll probably re-enable it soon, however if I do I will be tweaking it so that it's not very sensitive, I hate ones that go off for no reason.

Re: Alarm-remote start
Hey Chris, you may want to look at Autosound Plus in Vernon for a Compustar alarm system for your Delica. That's who installed the one in our Delica (and Echo and Celica before that). It took a bit longer since this was the first Delica they did...however, the next one(s) will likely go quicker, since the installer was taking notes as they worked on ours...chrisbouchard wrote:i am looking at a compustar system. alarm, door locker, auto starter, immoblizer and turbo timer installed for 350. pretty bangin' deal if you ask me.
