Delica Rental

Post by Jaz »

Hey guys,

Myself and a few friends have rented a cabin up in Salmon Arm for the period over Christmas, and I've been looking into getting a rental vehicle for the week, because my car... well... sucks...

Does anyone know if any of the importers rent Delicas for short periods? Even if I had to put insurance on it or something like that, that would be fine.

Any input would be good, or suggestions - It seems at the moment like we're going to be stuck renting a ford explorer or similar, which may not fit the folks that we have and the luggage we have!

Thanks,

Jared

This maybe presumptuous of me but have you considered making it a Delica run? In which case you could arrange rides for you and your friends that way.... Not sure how you have planned this and I realise that you may not wish to invite everyone in Delica.ca to come along. Just a suggestion. There has been talk about doing a winter camping trip. Could make for a symbiotic relationship... :-D .

Interesting proposition Falco - certainly would be a bit of fun if a few of the delicites wanted to come along, or at least we met up out there somewhere. Not sure how much land there is at the cabin for camping, but we could inquire.

I think we'd be keen on getting a vehicle of our own simply for the fact that we're going to have to carry a bunch of food & gear! We're planning on having an "Aussie Christmas", so will probably involve shorts, shrimp on the barbie, and such :-D

I think we've got the cabin booked from the 24th to the 30th.

That would be very fitting, especially considering it snowed in New South Wales last night...

Thanks Rik, but that could be a little off the beaten track for me :(

I might pm mardy and a few of the other guys...

Pretty crazy with the snow eh Mararmiesto? They got it at home as well... Wouldn't want to get involved in one of the hailstorms they get frequently in NSW though, hail the size of base balls!
