Okay, a while back we started a thread on ham radio classes for the purpose of understanding two way radio, VHF on board systems in particular. This thread can be referenced here:

The course begins on Saturday, the 10th of January, 2009. It will run for seven Saturdays, the seventh being the examination. It will cost $120.00 (including the book*)and the hours will be 09hrs to 12:30hrs. For an extra $20 there are afternoon sessions where you can learn how to do other things, like building your own custom aerial. The sessions will take place at the North Vancouver RCMP Detachment, located at the corner of St. Georges Avenue & East 14th Street, NV.

*If you already have the book then he will cut $20 off of the price. If you don't have the book then it is $13.76 cheaper if you get it through the course.
