OE Shock lengths

Post by bionic »

Hi guy's...anyone know the stock oe eye-to eye shock lengths (compressed and extended) for a 92 Delica (Exceed)? ..this includes both fr/rr...about to raise her up a few inches(2) and was hoping to save myself the first step of removing them prior to lift date. Also, if anyone has a pic of their upper ball-joint spacers it would be helpful as well...seen a few syles (disk and plate) but want to see what the "consensus" is for the best mod. (p.s -I am a machinist, so scale would be good)
Thanks,
-Chad

Rear stock shocks are eye top / pin bottom.

19.5" fully extended / 10.5" compressed

Front stock shocks are pin top / eye bottom.

13.5" fully extended / 9.3" compressed

Stock shocks are not eye to eye.

If you want to do eye to eye on the rear, you can do what I did. Eye bracket which will extend the shock about 1.5 to 2".

Depending on how much you lift the front, 1.5-2.5" lift from stock height 14.5" fully extended is all you'll need.

Ball joint spacer. 2" aluminum or steel round stock @ 1" thick. Shim a few mm's angle.
