Water heater to a good WVO home...

Post by clintonian »

All, I have a pretty new electric water heater that is just sitting in my garage collecting dust. We had it in our old house purchased new from Home Depot and used for maybe a year before we made the executive decision to demo our house and build a new one. The new water heater is gas, thus, no need for the old one. Tried Craigslist to try an recoup some bucks, but no bites. I am really interested in the idea of converting my Pajero over to WVO, but it's one of those "sometime" jobs, and I don't know a ton about it other than what I read in these excellent forums. Long story short, if I did convert, I would probably find WVO from someone as I don't have room to clean it myself. So, does anyone want it to use for heating your own oil to dewater it? I assume this would be a good way of doing it anyway. I would feel better about donating it to the WVO community so let me know and you can pick it up. That said, I would be really interested in trying a little bit of WVO in my tank if you happened to have a little spare stuff I could try, if not, take the heater anyway! I heard you could run it at under 20% WVO to diesel without conversion with no problems... Anyway, good WVO karma...
