A good day of trailer hitch building....

Post by EnviroImports.com »

I thought I would post a couple picts of todays welding projects, built a hitch for my little truck, Mazda Bongo, almost the same motor as the delica, 4door 4wd, 1ton rear axel. I wanted to be able to tow a trailer with it, so a proper hitch was needed, but on this one I put a Anti-wiggle bolt in it, so once the slide in reciever is there, a Grade 8 bolt with a handle on it will thread in to make it nice and tight for the side to side wobble that is normally there. This other one is for a Isuzu MU a RHD from Japan also, but did this one with spider web gussets for a coolness factor and they double as a safety chain attachment spot, I think its pretty sweet, It will get finished, cleaned up and painted tomorrow. Image

I have a hitch built into a h/d rear bumper that is still in the works, but thats for another day when I dont have 15 jobs waiting in the wings........
