Has anyone had a ladder and or roof rack built here?

If so... is it any good? I hear that some of these fabrications are loud, heavy, too expensive and can actually be a safety hazard.

Re: a good ladder and roof rack
the racks are loud if you want it tall and it cuts the wind, they are heavy if you want to support many hundreds of lbs on them, as they have to be very well built, but aluminium is the lightest material you can use for any strength unless you want Titanium, and then your looking at BIG money.
Aluminium is not cheap, neither is the gas needed to weld with it. so yes, it can be expensive if you want something elaborate OR custom built.
I have a few of their racks here and find it very reasonably priced, but then again , Im pretty Biased........

Noel's basic rack is very well built and good value compared to most ready made stuff!! I have really not even noticed any noise from it.
