Delisaurus the story so far (Pt2)

Post by Drooper »

Before I start I would like to say that please remember that she still isn't finished yet, there are things I still wanna do to her but I can't have her stood up all over the summer when the kids wanna go camping. I also couldn't resist the temptation to post some pics so here goes there are a few photos so appologies to those with slow web connection.

As most of you know Delisaurus has been stood up for eight months now due to getting the dreaded chuffing from my engine so I decided to change the chain and while I was in there I changed a couple of other bits too.

Before the chuff

Then it went like this

While she has been sat there the front tyres went flat so that was the perfect excuse to fit some new ones but didn't want to put them on to my wheels so I picked up some wheels from another MDOC member.

And done a bit of work on them

Then ordered a set of these

And I couldn't even leave them alone

Anyway I took them over today to be fitted

And I am over the moon with it hence I had to post some pics

Like I say I have some more that needs doing.

I still need to tint the rear window as it has never been done, I have one of the windows to strip and retint it but we will be moving soon and I know that if I do it before we move I will end up damaging it again while moving stuff.

I also have to sort out the wheel arches again but not going to bother until we have moved because after we move I won't have to take it to work all the time.

I have the paint for the rear bumper but I want to fit sensors for reversing incase my misses every (by some freak chance) has to use it so seems pointless repainting the bumper to then have to take it off again to drill holes in it.

I have another tailgate but like I say I have run out of time for the summer and now a move aswell so it will all have to wait until we have got settled in the new house.

Tomorrow I will refit the inner arches on the front and the the bits from under the front bumper, I have some new wheels nuts coming on Monday because I only have 14 at the moment not that it matters cause although she is MOTed and Insured I can't tax it till Wednesday.

Anyway there she is.

I'm chuffed with her. :-D

And I'm really looking forward to driving her again.

Smoking ride. Love the black on white - ying / yang kind of thing. Not over the top either - well done!
