I've never owned a Diesel till now so my petrol engine knowledge (as little as that is) isn't proving very useful...
I've just discovered a relatively bad diesel leak from the front Injector, whats the worst that could happen driving it from North Van to CVI in Richmond.... If this was petrol leaking I would understand this as being very bad indeed but I'm not sure about diesel?
Thanks for any help

Can you tighten up the line (at the injector) a bit or is it a cracked line?
You could wrap it with duct tape or rubber(bike inertube) and a hose clamp or two and it should slow it down enough to get to a shop.
Leaking diesel is not great ,but it's not as volatile as gasoline.
Right on!(after you get it fixed!)

is the injector leaking or the line attached to it? you could give the injector a little tweak with a wrench (22m if I remember right though I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a wrench on there I used a deep socket to change my injectors) just be sure to hold the return rail or what ever it's call as the nut has a tendency to spin with the injector and the metal lines come out very easily, the part is cheap from ccautos but you have to wait for it :)

Thanks for the advice, I ended up taking it to Butchs and it did just needed a tighten, having just moved here I don't have any tools so went and got myself a set, should be good to go now and I'm slowly adding to my knowledge of these things... will definitely be heading down to the next CVI open day, and if anyone needs a set of extra hands anytime (North Van) I'd be glad to help out and learn some more stuff...
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
