Rear hatch open...

Post by joedelica »

How do I disconnect wiring from the rear hatch, so that the "door open" light on the
dash board does not come when the hatch is open. I like to leave the hatch open for camping
trips, etc.

Thanks,

joe

I would be interested to know what people do for this as well. All I have done so far is pull the connectors to the red lights in the front doors and made sure the interior lights are off for camping and trips to the drive-in.

if i required something like this, i'd put a switch in the rear door, so i could turn this feature on or off as needed. :-)

Trialsmaster2,

Which connectors in the door did you disconnect? The ones in both doors and the hatch?
I would love all of those annoying lights for the door(s) off.

Thanks,

Joe

As the general consensus appears to be that I do not know what I'm talking about, and cause more harm than good, I am removing this post so that others are not tricked in to following my ill-advised instructions.
