how to annoy your neighbours...

Post by Green1 »

I was planning some simple work on the vehicle today, didn't manage to do any of that, but here's what I found when I took the front bash plate off....

I decided that that was way too much fun to leave disconnected, so I spent the rest of the afternoon figuring out how to get them hooked up and working... now when I lean on the horn I get both the stock one and these 3 beauties

I suspect the neighbours aren't too happy with me now being that I was testing and trying various combinations all afternoon

definitely a surprise! first time I've had that panel off, and these were there with a wire running up in to the engine bay where it just ended, took a while to figure out how to get it working with the horn, but with the addition of a relay it's all good now :)

they're loud, though not deafening... but they do have a nice sound to them, much nicer then the electronic horns, (though I left both hooked up)

one of my friends told me before that the Delica had a "wimpy" horn... not anymore

Hey!
You may be on to another idea there. I see Delicas all the time. I wave frantically, flash the lights while driving erratically and generally being an hazard to navigation that usually gets the attention of any nearby traffic helicopter, but not the other Delica. The other Delica doesn't see me. What if we all had an official Delica honk? We could get a package deal on an unusual horn so we all sounded the same. Then when one of us saw another of us, we could let loose a whup-ass honk that's sure to get the other Delica's attention, and maybe stain the seats in the car in front.
