Does anyone know what will be the replacement for the air filter on the 4G64 petrol motor?

I dont know the part number off hand, but I would just go into any mitsubishi dealer, or parts store, and say you need an air filter for a mitsubishi 1990 van wagon. Thats the north american counterpart. Should have one on the shelf.

I just did a quick look online and these numbers may (or may not) work.

ACDelco: ACA1215C
Fram: AHCA6389
Beck Arnley: 042-1450
NPN: W0133-1629452

Hope that helps. But really, I would just ask the guys for a van wagon air filter from 1990. Good luck.

And for future inquiries, you might be better posting in the "Petrol section" which you will find in the "Delica Parts and supplies" catagory. Most people here drive the diesel Delicas.

Hi RHD Panda, welcome.

In Canada we have very few gas / petrol models, mostly diesel. The best expert is Glen of CC Autos in Coombs BC. Website ccautos.ca or his online PM here is ccautos. He owns a gasser Japanese delica, and services all the gas models that I know of. Ships parts all over. He also has worked extensively on the American Delica model (1988-1989).

What year is yours, and is it the american version or the JDM Japanese Domestic Model version (which is what we have here). Tell us your story, we like stories.

Cheers, Christine.

I moved this to the appropriate forum.

Double on the "captive import" parts-hunting comment. When identified as the Mitsubishi Van Wagon, you should be able to find parts not only from Mitsubishi in the States, but from other parts suppliers as well. I know yours is a JDM, but don't tell them that or they're less likely to help.

The air filter on a 95 L400 gas 2.4 litre uses a Fram CA7142. It's 8 3/4 square by 1 5/8 inches ($13.29) w discount, oil filter PH7317 ($5.59+.55 eco fee) plus taxes. I'll add this to the wiki later.

What oil and quantity are u using?

If you want to use parts from NAPA, the following part numbers will work on a 1992 Delica Exceed petrol (or "gas" here in Canada...)

Air Filter: NAPA Gold 6265

Oil Filter: NAPA Gold 1356

Have used both and they work great!
