Sourcing a switch

Post by Firesong »

Hi guys
I need to find a switch to run my driving lights.
ie. power to lights to switch that turns on when the ignition turns on.
Kinda like a battery isolator :)
Anyone know a part number or anything... can tire maybe?
Parts source?
Thanks ahead
James

LOL. What an interesting way to say you need a DRL module.

I dont want a DRL module per say.
Not exactly the same.
a switch that has a power in, power out.. switch activated
by power on.
DRL suggests hookups to other lights, bridging already
established lines. No thanks.
Any part numbers?

I played around with a relay this morning and it will
do exactly what I want it to. It has a few more things
but I won't connect them.
Thanks

Actually, it still sounds like a switch, just one that is wired in after the ignition.

Semantics aside, use an in-line fuse or use the fuse panel.

I used the princess auto relay and hooked up some lights for the DRL
Thinking back I guess I could have used an 'after ignition' wire to
power the lights but then you have to worry about draw and wire diameter..
too much, too little. This way it's all covered.
The relay was 6.99 or something good to 40 amps which is overkill.
But they work great.

Now to get my turbo swapped out. Im sure it's on it's last legs. The
erroneous noise is getting louder when it spools up and I now
have some black smoke coming out as it spools up. Makes me guess
that it's not pushing the air in as much as it should... too much fuel
being dumped through.

If only the guy im getting the turbo from would get his act together
and get it out for me.
