Several of us have bought the Viair compressor (looks identical) from North Shore Off Road which is in North Vancouver, they have heapsa off road stuff. FalcoColumbarius had them install a permanently mounted air compressor (for shocks).

This doesn't answer your original question where to buy locally, but I have gone through dirt cheap all the way to expensive portable compressors.

Hope this helps your decision making. :M

I have the superflow (MV50) . $35 bucks shipped online from the US.

I also have the Viair 400P. $269+tax at Sport Trucks in Langley (same outfit as NSOR).

I bought the Viair in 2005 and the MV50 about a year later. One is for tires and the other for air locker/compressor. I swapped them back and forth. This was on our Montero.

They are probably from the same factory. Internal compressor components are the same. Build quality it the same. Longevity is the same.

Both have been around for years. One just costs 8-10 times as much as the other 'brand'.

Both are good. You can't go wrong with either. :M

I recently bought two of these Central Pneumatic compressors below. One for our Delica and one as a spare.

It's duty cycle is better than both the MV50 and the Viair 400 series. So it keeps cool for longer, allowing you to use it for longer sustained periods of time without shutting down compared to the MV and Viair.

It's $75 bucks shipped from harbourfreight in the US. It's twice the cost of the MV50 and 1/4 the cost of the Viair but it beats both of mine old one's.

Both the MV50 and the Viair 400p have 2.54CFM/72LPM.

Since they are both made in China, I would recommend to buy whichever is cheaper.

The MV50 fills my 31's faster than my 400P.

The MV50 is a generic compressor that is sold by many retailers that slap on their tag and whatever price they charge. Same with the viair variations. All from China so find the best deal for you.
