- water cooled turbo instead of oil cooled
- removed hand throttle control
not sure what else might have changed...

Re: 1995 L300
Interesting... I have a 1994 L300 (must have been put on the road in 1993 - but is already a 1994 model-year - i.e. Watercooled turbo and no hand-throttle)...
Does anybody have any idea as to the advantages of a watercooled turbo vs. a non-watercooled or oilcooled turbo? Won't it be running as hot?
Thanks for any input...
Cheers,
Chris

different injectors (same as l400)
different cylinder head
after oil I don't think you can expect anything different from a '95 to a '94

doesn't run as hot, cools down quicker, generally just a "good thing" (TM)impalator wrote:Does anybody have any idea as to the advantages of a watercooled turbo vs. a non-watercooled or oilcooled turbo? Won't it be running as hot?

Re: 1995 L300
Let's clarify. It is water-cooled AND oil-cooled, not instead of. The older pre-94 were only oil-cooled. Helps it run cooler, and, depending on the design, might thermo-syphon after engine stop to continue cooling, making it less critical to idle the engine for a cool-down cycle when stopping.
