Hey guys, Im looking to get the camber adjusted on the front of my SWB since I've cranked the front torsion bars slightly. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a shop that has the lazer align equipment and that is familiar with Montero IFS and has resonable rates?
What is the typical cost of getting this done? I don't want to chew up my tires any more!
I have been reading alot on the UK forums regarding a balljoint flip for a bit better articulation and a 40mm suspension lift at the front. Im looking for the least invasive 2inch suspension lift I can get, but would like to keep the little articulation the IFS offers so cranking the torsion bars more isn't an option. I know there are a couple of you that have fitted 33's and done similar mods so I was looking for some local advice. In the UK they seem to argue more about safety due to their tough MOT laws.
Also, for a SWB paj with LWB springs in the rear, is it unbearably stiff in the rear once its all said and done? Is it super expensive to get some custom springs bent that are longer but with similar compression and spring rates? Im looking for better real world bc offroading capabilities such as tight trails, rocks, logs, FSR's etc (within reason of course) not green laning and mud wrestling.

Don't do the balljoint flip. Hard on ifs in the long run.
2" body lift will allow you to run 33's and is cheap.
You'll gain 2" of additional clearance at the bottom of the diff and still have full articulation.
1" balljoint spacer in the front with LWB coils on the rear will net you about 1.5" of suspension lift.
Dale's alignment in Langley are good and reasonable.
