I've just joined but wanted to share my Delica experience. In 2005 while studying in Australia, I took advantage of their long "winter" break (with chilly temperatures reaching 20 degrees C) to tour around the east coast. One of my trips was a camping/fishing expedition on Fraser Island, a location made popular by the late Steve Irwin. On the way there I had the misfortune of driving in a Toyota Ute - a mini pickup with rebar for suspension. Fortunately one of the vehicles to accompany us was a Mitsubishi Delica. I'm not sure the year, but I'm sure someone can identify it from the photo attached. Needless to say, when we learned that it had fold-flat seats and the crystaline roof, everyone was clamoring for their chance to ride. I even had the opportunity to drive it through some sand dunes - awesome!
My hope, now that I have some level of financial security, is to purchase a Delica to help me get through the next Saskatoon winter. Now that I know about the vehicle's modest luxury, I'll never look for anything else. If anyone can help me out in Saskatchewan, I'd appreciate it.
