L400 Oil filter and service USA?

Hi.. i'm in the middle of my road trip and i'm 6000km since last oil change so i desperately need one before i continue. I'm in San Diego and from what i understand i need to get an oil filter as well. I been searching all over google and delica.ca and can only find that a Fram ph9055 will fit which i was reading is a really bad oil filter.. So I really need to get moving and i can't even find the FRAM in a brick and mortar store. So im not sure whether to import one from canada which will cost way too much or try something else? There's little info on this so i think if i do eventually find this fram model it'll make things worse cause theres far too many complaints about it leaking and busting up.

I have a 94 l400 4m40 pe8w

Any ideas? Maxoverdrive says they're out of parts and now im really clueless =\

Does the NAPA Gold filter 1675 fit (or the NAPA Gold 1809, which I believe is just longer)? I think it crosses over from a PH9055 and should be readily available in the States (and in my opinion NAPA has better filters).
