Re: l300 vs l400
I can't really help you.
You must simply go drive them both and choose.
There are thousands (well maybe not that many)
'vs'
threads here to look over.

Re: l300 vs l400
Your question is useless on this forum.
One person will love the L300 while another will love the L400.
Both are different.
If you use the search button on the top right corner of your browser in between FAQ and Drivers, you will find MANY COMPARISONS !
Good luck.
Actually, no luck required.
Just go with whatever you feel right. Don't listen to others because you will end up with neither one. There are arguments and discussions about which is better.
There is no such thing.
One is better for one person than it is another.
Have fun with whichever you choose. You can't go wrong with either.

Re: l300 vs l400
alright fellas, the decision has been cast, it will be an l300 for me.
just to be sure im gonna take an l400 for a spin this aft to put my mind to rest but thats more of a formality .
Fire song I see you have been braving the mighty toon winters with your deli. Thats where i originally hail from so nice to see a fellow saskie testifying for the deli. I plan on a trip there this summer perhaps a meetup is in order.
Thanks for the advice i really feel it is basically a useless queston but wanted to get a few repsonses in a single thread before i lock in.. It will be the l300

Buy a L300 and throw in a L400's motor and running gears........and that voltmeter.

Re: l300 vs l400
unfortunately not possible unless you chop the L300 apart and weld/fabricate a whole new subframe.sasquatch-hunter wrote:Buy a L300 and throw in a L400's motor and running gears........and that voltmeter.
The 4M40 (L400) is taller/longer as well as the L400 transmission is taller/transfercase is longer.
That was my initial thought until I pulled a measuring stick out of my pants. Then it was evident that L400 gear will not fit into L300 body.

Musta taken a while to measure the whole 400 running gear with a 4 inch ruler...

(I'll apologize later...)
